Shutterbug Academy is designed for kids who are curious, creative, and ready to learn photography in a
fun and encouraging way.
Our upcoming classes will help students understand their cameras, build confidence, practice creative composition,
and begin seeing the world like young photographers.
Whether your child is brand new to photography or already loves taking pictures, these classes are a great place to start.

The Seeing Experience
Best for: Beginners, curious kids, and families exploring Shutterbug for the first time.
Length: 45 min
A beginner-friendly class where kids learn that photography is more than pointing and clicking. They will practice noticing light, angles, details, and creative ways to see the world around them.
Shutterbug
Foundations
From guessing to understanding, students begin learning camera basics, light, exposure, composition, creative storytelling, and how to make stronger photo choices.
Great for: Kids ready for to learn their camera
Length: 3-week beginner program (6 classes total)

Academy
For students who are ready to keep growing, Shutterbug Academy builds photography skills through creative projects, mentorship, challenges, and real-world practice.
Great for: Continuing students. For those who have completed Foundations
